Events and Dialogs!
It's weekend time again and I had an hour or so to cobble together some coding time. Tonight we got a few more cool things that all RPGs need. Events and Dialogs. Yes, they are very primitive and hard- coded, but they are the fundamentals for any game (and game maker) . If you are one of the handful of folks who see this post, you can go to the main page, let the game load, then move with the arrow keys the barbarian down to the little outcropping and move into the tiny room near the bottom right. If you go in, a dialog will pop up with some text. It's crude, and primitive, but it works, and right now I'm all about just getting things to work, and I will iterate, iterate, iterate till it's freaking awesome.
